38 Tulips for 38 Years...

Tomorrow is Mom and Dad's 38th anniversary. Since dad has been in the hospital since April 4th, and is having surgery today, mom had to take today off. Which means she will have to work tomorrow. So they won't get to be together on their anniversary. So Sam, Karin and myself decided that it would be a good idea to give them something special today, because we knew they would be together.
So last night, I went to the store and got them 38 purple and pink tulips. You see, mom's favorite color is purple and dad's favorite flower is the tulip! It was a tight squeeze for that many stems to fit in the widest vase I could find, but it worked. And was beautiful! They loved it! Karin made a special homemade card for them, and we all signed it.

I hope you all have a blessed day! Just remember, God is in control and is taking care of us all! Even when life seems really crazy! HE is holding you! And remember, in everything we go through, there is always a lesson He has for us to learn! Use each day as a growing experience and for His glory!
Much Love!

Thanks for posting pictures, Kris. What an amazing collection of flowers, not to mention years of marriage. Thanks for putting all that together for us.

The flowers were beautiful. The colors, and the double tulips. They didn't last as long as we would have liked, the heat, moving to another room on the same floor and the ride to the nursing home. but we enjoyed them, and loved that our children chose to remember our day.
